Today I have been blessed to be able to write to you.
What an awesomely beautiful day today is. Well, spring is here. Time really flew by. No winter here in Louisiana. Not complaining I like the warmer weather better. With spring being here, green is back. Yellow pollen flying around everywhere. I love this time of year because all the colors begin to wake up and bless us with a new palate. Blue skies with an occasional white cloud floating around in all that blue and yellow sun giving everything a warm kiss. Lets not forget, the red bud trees with their beautiful pink blooms, irises with their many colors, and the roses with their many colors.
With the weather not cold nor hot, the beauty that surrounds me makes me want to freshen up my house, spring clean if you will. I look forward to this time of year to get outside, dust off the patio furniture and give them a fresh look, and prepare my garden.
Spring comes every nine months and we look at this time of year as a new beginning. And I suppose it is with all flowers blooming. We have a new beginning every morning. We have that chance to say goodbye to the troubles of the day before and look forward to a new day. I think sometimes we get so caught up in the troubles of life that we don't stop to think on this. When the sun rises in the morning we have the opportunity for new choices.
"It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him."
Lamentations 3:22-24 KJV
So if the Lord gives us new beginnings shouldn't we give ourselves a new day and put the past in the past. Just something to ponder.
